Wedding Photography In Scotland
Natural, documentary wedding photography for couples who want to remember how their day actually felt.
Based in West Lothian and photographing weddings across Scotland, I capture the moments, people and atmosphere that make your wedding yours.
No forced poses all day, no constant interruption.
Just honest photographs of the people you love, the things that happen, and all the little moments in between.
Photography that feels like your wedding
Your wedding day doesn’t need to revolve around the camera.
My approach is documentary and unobtrusive. I want you to enjoy your day while I photograph what unfolds.
I’ll be there for the obvious moments - the ceremony, the portraits and the first dance - but im just as interested in everything happening around them.
Those are the photographs that help tell the story of your day.
A documentary approach
Real moments over perfect poses.
I don’t want your wedding photographs to feel like a photoshoot.
I’ll give you enough direction when its useful - particularly for your couple portraits and family photographs - but for most of the day I’ll let things happen naturally.
My aim is to blend into the background rather than take over your wedding.
That means you can concentrate on being with your people while I concentrate on photographing it.
Wedding photography across Scotland
I’m based in West Lothian, making me ideally placed for weddings throughout Central Scotland.
I regularly photograph weddings around:
West Lothian
Edinburgh
Glasgow
Falkirk
Stirling
Fife
East Lothian
Central Scotland
I’m also happy to travel within Scotland for weddings and elopements.
What does a wedding day look like?
Every wedding is different, but I normally photograph the story of the day from beginning to end.
Morning preperations
The anticipation, the nerves, the laughs and the little details before everything begins
The ceremony
The big moment, but also everything happening around it - reactions, smiles, tears and all the people watching.
Couple portraits
A little time away from everyone else. Nothing overly staged - just some relaxed photographs of the two of you.
Family photographs
The important group photographs you require without letting them take over your day.
The reception
Speeches, food, drinks, conversations and all the moments happening between the big ones.
Evening celebrations
The first dance, packed dance floors, hugs, laughter and everything that happens once the formal part of the day is over.
How many photographs will we receive?
I don’t believe in putting a number on your memories.
The number of photographs you receive will depend on your wedding, how long i’m there and how much happens throughout the day.
My priority is delivering a complete story of your wedding, rather than filling a gallery with hundreds of photographs that don’t add anything.
The photographs
Every photograph is individually selected and edited by me.
I look for consistency across the whole gallery while keeping the photographs natural and true to the atmosphere of the day.
The finished collection should feel like your wedding, rather than a collection of heavily stylised photographs.
Your photographs, delivered
Your finished photographs are delivered on a USB within a personalised wooden box which includes some prints from your day.
You’ll receive a carefully curated collection that tells the story of your day from beginning to end.
Frequently asked questions
Do you photograph full day weddings?
Yes. I offer full day wedding photography and can tailor coverage depending on what you need.
Do you photograph smaller weddings?

Do you travel outside West Lothian?
Yes. I’m available throughout Edinburgh, Glasgow and Central Scotland, as well as further afield across Scotland
Do you take formal family photographs?
Yes. I’ll make sure you get the important family photographs while keeping this part of the day relaxed and efficient.
Do you photograph the evening reception?
Yes. Evening coverage can include the first dance, cake cutting, dancing and all the atmosphere that comes with the evening.
How far in advance should we book?
That is entirely up to you. Popular days such as Saturdays can get snapped up quickly. If you have a date in mind, get in touch and I’ll let you know my availability.
